MOVIE REVIEW: Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

I watched this film last Sunday  and I can tell you I'm still feeling a whole lot of emotional overload a week later, for me personally it was the perfect setup for what's to come in books two and three.

This book is the sole reason why I jumped both feet in and haven't stop reading the romance genre, OH THE FEELS. I don't really know where to start but here are a few of my thoughts.

I was absolutely in awe by the story of the book, I'm going to start by say for me I just took the film as entertainment your not going to get every single feeling and thought in a film yet as I sat there watching I felt like the book was coming to life right in front of my eyes, but I have to be honest I was nervous when I went in cause I've heard nothing but bad reviews but hey I wasn't going to be deterred. I was pleasantly surprised you are not going to get on film page for page what you read in a book its not going to happen so I didn't have those kind of expectations and took it as different, but Sigh it was soooo good.

Seriously I thought the film did catch the story well,  here you have a man that has lots of money where he has expensive cars and a mammoth of worldly experience and can afford the clothes and things than any girl would want I mean, if you say you wouldn't who are you kidding? If you were offered that then I know for one I'd be awed by that then we have Ana who  comes from a 'normal' life where she has to work in her spare time to be able to live and afford things, she has an old car and doesn't live in luxury but normality but saying that this to me is an EPIC love story it is a story about falling IN LOVE and I really did love everything about it, it's fantasy its not real and that is why I LOVE to read I LOVE to be taken away from RL the film did just that for me, I was held captive it was pretty fast paced I mean it's 2 hours long yet I felt like it was 10 minutes cause I couldn't stop watching I didn't see what others were doing around me, maybe that's just me, I kind of get lost in LOVE stories.

I wasn't too sure about the actress when she was cast all those months ago I haven't really watched anything with her in it so nothing to compare her to but I thought she really did do Ana justice, she was flirtatious and amusing I laughed at the beginning where she was clumsy yet as time went on you saw how she grew into her own kind of like growing up into an adult from a young lady not sure if that's the right way to explain her but I thought especially with the kind of clothes that were picked out how she craved Christian and made him watch her and want her equally. She exceeded Ana IMO and did fit the bill well.

I didn't think he was as Intimidating as he could have been as he was betrayed in the book but I took his acting skills as this; I am taking Christian as a troubled soul and having a lot of bad nightmares in his head to overcome therefore I don't think he is a master in the BDSM lifestyle but more he needs it to take the pain away, however you look at it I thought Jamie was perfect for the screen his mannerisms were subtle and gradual, his touches and kisses ohhh sigh and sigh I truly believe we gradually were warmed up to him and in the last 20/30% of the film he  became a more passionate harder and Intense Christian honestly I think we will see him becoming the Christian you feel in the books in fifty shades of Darker.

I think the music was AMAZING it really was gooood they picked some fantastic songs here IMHO they lay in sync with the film and because of that I welled up, laughed or watched with fascination, it made the film soooooo much more I will 100% be buying that album actually I have been listening to it on repeat on spotify ever since.

Was it tasteful? I thought so, it was subtle but not to gratuitous it was passionate, loving, special lots of skin action but not too much! a good balance.

I do feel that if you haven't read the books your going to see a different story than those who have read it and maybe look at it as mummy porn 'for some' that kind of winds me up but for those who see it as the start to an EPIC love story and a starting journey I think your going to enjoy it for what it is. I know for a fact I will be watching this lots till film two comes out......
